Equestrian Surfaces Ireland was established in 2002 in Co kildare Ireland.We are a family owned and run Business that truly believes in customer service and delivering to a high standard. Gary Rhodes has years of experience in the design, construction of Riding Arenas and manufacturing of Riding surfaces, Sarah Rhodes Has vast experience in Sales and customer relations,William Stanley is head of construction and arena maintenance. We have undertaken work in all County’s across Ireland North and South, from private individual’s right through to Commercial enterprises and show venues. We pride ourselves on the quality of our Riding Surfaces and constructions . These are the fundamental principals in which our company is run. The company operates state of the art equipment for manufacturing riding surfaces and employ skilled staff who have vast experience in the field of all aspects of equestrian construction and manufacturing ensuring the finished product is second to none. Gary had been working since the age of 17 in the agricultural industry and has a diploma in animal husbandry and agricultural practices, In 1992 while working for a contractor he was asked to install a riding surface for our partner company Equestrian Surfaces Ltd based in the UK, this led to a interest in the workings of arena construction and riding surfaces.
From 1992 to 2002 gary had built a wealth of experience in the construction of arenas and project managing, He was asked to manage the installation of the riding surfaces and maintenance for the Queens Golden jubilee in Windsor by Equestrian Surfaces Ltd. This same year Gary married Sarah who is native to Co Cork, and with the success of All the Queens horses and discussions with Equestrian Surfaces Ltd opened a new depot in Co Kildare.And Equestrian Surfaces Ireland was established.
Equestrian Surfaces Ireland hit the ground running after being awarded the contract to supply and install the riding surfaces for the 2003 special olympics world summer games at Kill Equestrian Centre in Kildare, This was an ideal platform for the equestrian industry and riders to see the innovation in new forms of riding surfaces being introduced into the Irish marketplace.
Over the past 20 years while managing the Irish market Gary has managed the installations of racetracks in America and Australia and training tracks in Sweden and the horse of the year show in the UK. We look forward to continuing to grow in the Irish Market and developing riding surfaces that support both horse and rider.
